Because the squabbling Asgardian Siblings (and their dad) are at the core of the story for Thor: The Dark World,
Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Anthony Hopkins’ Odin
have all gotten their due in poster form. Now though, it’s the turn of
Jaimie Alexander’s sword-swinging Lady Sif and human scientist Jane
Foster (Natalie Portman).
The sequel finds Thor facing a battle to save Asgard, Midgard (our
gaff) and the rest of the Nine Realms from a shadowy new enemy that
turns out to be a very, very old opponent banished eons ago.
Now,
the Dark Elves are back, and to restore order across the cosmos, Thor
will have to strike a deal with the one person he knows he can’t – and
shouldn’t – trust: Loki. But with the situation apparently dire, the
trickster might be the best hope for saving everyone.
With Kat Dennings, Idris Elba, Zachary Levi, Ray Stevenson and Adewale Akinnuoye-Abaje also among the cast, Thor: The Dark World
is out here on October 30. For all you need to know about the film,
grab the current issue of Empire, which just so happens to have Thor and
Loki on its covers.
